Overview

This position supports the development and implementation of market-based strategies, initiatives and activities specific to the DCSEU’s residential and commercial programs to improve the overall energy efficiency of District of Columbia. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, contractor engagement, project processing, quality assurance review and general program support while contributing to a mission-driven, creative, enjoyable and stimulating work environment. 

 

 

 

Location:

This is a hybrid position, and the ideal candidate will be located in Washington, DC.

 

Compensation:

At VEIC, we are committed to pay transparency. The starting pay range for this position will be between $65,000-$70,000 annually ($33.25/hr-$35.89/hr). Based on market data, pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and location. Please discuss your intended work location with the recruiter for more information. The total compensation package for this position also includes a full range of medical benefits, 403(b) eligibility with match, Combined Time Off (CTO), Care and Concern leave, Parental leave, wellbeing benefit, a community service day, and eight paid holidays that are effective as of your first day of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Processes energy efficiency projects which includes tasks such as:   
  1. data entry; 
  1. database uploads;  
  1. reconciliation of rebate check requests;  
  1. other procedural requirements as needed. 
  • Lead program initiatives from start to finish with oversight from Program Managers 
  • Work with Program Managers in providing input for the development of new programs and initiatives 
  • Coordinate the efforts of cross-functional departments as required to ensure that programs are run within requirements of the customer needs. 
  • Suggest and lead/participate in improvement and development of program processes  
  • Assist in the planning and hosting of program related events 
  • Provides high quality customer service for internal and external customers and stakeholders. 
  • Maintains project records in a database and hard copy files. 
  • Provides cross-functional administrative support for implementation. 
  • Performs and maintains quality assurance of data integrity, accuracy and consistency relative to projects.  
  • Gains understanding of target markets including trade allies, manufacturers, and technologies to inform process improvement. 
  • Maintains ongoing communications with customers, contractors, architects, engineers, vendors, consultants, etc. 
  • Produces regular reports that provide participant information. 
  • Provides support to the activities of VEIC as necessary to accomplish organizational goals and objectives. 

Qualifications

  • Strong personal commitment to the mission, vision, goals and values of VEIC. 
  • Associates degree and at least two years’ experience in project assistance or administrative experience required, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.  
  • Demonstrated ability to be organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks and priorities. 
  • Familiarity with energy-efficiency concepts and/or technologies.  
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite applications, particularly Word, Access and Excel or similar programs.  
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.
