Overview

Support the VEIC Marketing & PR Division with day-to-day, monthly, and recurring project and process support. Works with operations, internal communications, and brand strategy and creative teams to ensure that assigned projects are delivered and in alignment with identified goals, priorities, and timelines.

 

The Marketing Specialist will assist with the implementation of operational processes, marketing and communication strategies and tactics, and will use project management techniques and a variety of the Division’s suite of software and tools to complete the work. This position will be critical to the effective and ongoing operations of the team and guiding a variety of projects, initiatives, and tasks through to completion.

 

The role is ideal for someone who is detailed and solutions oriented, has strong communication skills, can juggle multiple assignments, priorities, and timelines, and would thrive working with a fast-paced and dynamic team.

Responsibilities

  • Under the guidance of the Manager, Marketing Operations, support the day-to-day, monthly, and recurring operations-based functions of the Marketing & PR Division.
  • Provide targeted support to VEIC’s Internal Communications Manager. This may include support for the development and execution of internal communication strategies, initiatives, and events, and fulfilling day-to-day requests.
  • Coordinate with various teams across VEIC to gather and build content for internal communication initiatives like newsletters and announcements.
  • Provide support for monthly budget, forecasting, and variance analysis functions. This may include invoice and credit card reconciliation processes. The role utilizes Microsoft Excel and internal databases to perform the work.
  • Help to maintain, upload, and tag photos, content, and final versions of creative materials into a suite of cloud-based tools and website content management systems. Assist with searching for photos and creative assets.
  • Partner with creative and digital resources to keep project requests moving through production.
  • Schedule team meetings, support with agenda planning and preparing content to support team engagement and knowledge sharing opportunities.
  • Seek to identify efficiency and continuous improvement opportunities for the Marketing & PR Division.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong personal commitment to the mission, vision, goals and values of VEIC.
  • Bachelor’s degree plus at least two years marketing experience or at least three years of administrative experience or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills were acquired.
  • Strong interest in learning and gaining exposure to the Marketing & PR function and commonly used tools, operational processes or Internal Communications
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to handle competing priorities are essential.
  • Excellence in managing multiple projects at once and ensure work gets completed on time. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to be organized, detail oriented, and accurate.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud programs desired, but not required.
