In addition to our full-service consulting business (Energy Services), VEIC administers three large-scale sustainable energy programs: Efficiency Vermont, Efficiency Smart, and the DC Sustainable Energy Utility (DCSEU). 

 

The Integrated Marketing Manager develops implements sharp marketing and communication strategies to advance clean energy. This roles works directly with our consulting division to ensure our solutions center the customer and stakeholder experience through the development of thoughtful marketing strategies and creative solutions. Key responsibilities include strategy, planning, budgeting, and execution of initiatives across paid, earned, shared and owned channels, using best-practice and data to improve impact. They work collaboratively with peers across Communications,  Consulting, and Business Development to ensure the effectiveness of the work.

Responsibilities

  • Manages a portfolio of client projects with varied marketing needs to ensure we infuse communications and creative best practices into our work.
  • Manages and implements the development, delivery, optimization, and measurement of integrated marketing solutions across touchpoints and channels, including digital, social, email, and on-the-ground events.
  • Develops strategic briefs that translate client challenges into clear communications directives.
  • Works collaboratively and efficiently with internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to our internal creative and digital team, consulting group, and clients. 
  • Promotes a department-wide culture of excellent creative and client service.
  • Understands industry trends and best practices and applies new approaches appropriately to expand the effectiveness and reach of VEIC.
  • Assists in effective management of consulting budgets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong personal commitment to the mission, vision, goals and values of VEIC.
  • A minimum of Bachelor’s degree and seven years of marketing experience, three years of managing contracts and budgets, and five years of project management experience.
  • Strong understanding of integrated marketing and various channels, such as: advertising, digital content, direct mail, social media, public relations, events, and more 
  • Understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, data synthesis, and the communication of recommendations/implications.
  • Understanding of marketing analytics and the ability to make meaning out of performance data and customer research.
  • Proven experience leading and facilitating teams in a cross-functional environment—mobilizing organizational resources to accomplish shared goals. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in responding to requests for marketing support, defining project scopes, documenting work, reporting results, and managing the work of others. 
  • Proven time management skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Creative problem-solving skills—the ability to bring forth innovative ideas in solving marketing challenges.
  • The ability to juggle competing priorities at once with poise and resiliency.   
  • Computer skills including proficiency with word processing, presentations, spreadsheets, and database software. Ability to learn new programs quickly.
