This position works closely with the Director and other members of the regulatory team, as well as representatives of the Vermont Department of Public Service.  Perform research and analysis in support of a variety of projects in areas related to all sources of energy efficiency, energy financing, and demand side management.  Project manage Regulatory projects including but not limited to the development of external and regulatory reporting, development of Annual Plan updates and presentations, and new efficiency measure characterizations.  Correspond with the Vermont Public Service Board through the research and writing of filings that promote VEIC’s interests and enable the maximization of energy efficiency potential for Efficiency Vermont and the State of Vermont.  Contribute to a mission-driven, creative, and high-energy work environment.

• Project manages moderately complex quarterly, and annual reports and ensure financial information has been recorded accurately and completely. 
• Partners and liaises with internal and external colleagues and functions to collect the individual pieces of data and information required for filings and/or reports. 
• Develops and manages a project plan with internal colleagues to bring new efficiency measures through new product development cycle, and the Technical Advisory Group 
• Prepares analysis to support a wide range of filings with regulators, from budget and demand resource plans to policy proposals open proceedings.  
• Assists or leads the preparation of routine regulatory compliance filings, responses to ad hoc requests from regulators, compliance requirements from public utility commission orders. 

• Provides analysis and general support to regulatory initiatives and other ad-hoc large proceedings like Clean Heat Standard or Demand Resource Plan. 
• Other duties as assigned. 

• Strong personal commitment to the mission, vision, goals and values of VEIC. 
• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, public policy, or a related field,  
• Minimum 2-3 years of analytic or policy-driven experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.   

• Economic principles relating to utility rates and cost analysis. 
• Fundamental accounting concepts and understanding of analytical concepts for financial analysis. 
• Research methodologies of statistical and cost analysis. 
• Business report writing, preparation and delivery of presentations including testimony. 
• MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. 

• Must have ability to review data and make appropriate decisions.
