Come join the VEIC Legal Department for a summer and find out what working in-house is really like! We are seeking an enthusiastic individual for our summer Legal Internship opportunity. The winning candidate will gain multi-dimensional experience working with attorneys and other legal staff to support our small, bustling, in-house Legal Team.

  • Researching, analyzing and summarizing legal issues and documents, and providing recaps to attorneys and legal personnel
  • Drafting contracts and amendments with input from staff using approved templates
  • Coordinating compliance items on contracts such as Certificate of Insurance collection and renewal reminders
  • Actively contributing to development of training materials and assisting in trainings for staff
  • Researching and creating guidance documents
  • Jumping in to lend a hand on several Legal projects, such as:
  • Digital organization of Legal files
  • Updating content on VEIC’s Legal and Contract Resources pages
  • Updating various policy documents
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Strong personal commitment to the mission, vision, goals, and values of VEIC
  • Strong interest in gaining experience in an in-house Legal setting, with a desire to provide excellent service to the company mission and the staff we support
  • Experience with Outlook, MS Office Suite, MS Teams and SharePoint
  • Experience with (and/or aptitude for) document and workflow management software tools
  • Must be currently enrolled in college, seeking an undergraduate degree
  • Excellent time-management and problem-solving skills, and a fun and positive outlook
  • Excellent research, writing and interpersonal communications skills
