The Account Manager – Level 1 (AM1)’s primary responsibility is to account manage retail and upstream partners in order to achieve defined energy savings goals. Educates retailers and other assigned business partners on the benefits of partnering with the DC SEU and promoting both eligible products and programs to their customers. Utilizes a consultative customer engagement methodology that enables them to glean vital market information and present our services in a way that brings value to these partners and their customers. Under the guidance of the Director, Account Management and other AMs, the AM1 works directly with small and mid-sized businesses to build business relationships that result in the discovery of efficiency opportunities and completion of projects. Coordinates and participates in related partner and community outreach events, as assigned.
