This summer internship role will help our team to maximize the strength of relationships between existing and future commercial and institutional customers to expand DCSEU energy efficiency services. This is a great opportunity to learn how to grow a market using creativity and innovation with a commitment to the environment. Key deliverables will include market and policy research, special events, customer success stories, and data analysis. The DCSEU supports Washington, DC’s bold, visionary, and comprehensive energy plan for clean and affordable energy for all.

• Identify key trends in our various markets regarding the role of energy efficiency in carbon emissions reductions.
• Determine key barriers and drivers for adaptation of efficient technologies in DC.
• For all topics, make actionable recommendations to DCSEU on the way forward for increasing adaptation of efficient technologies.
• Support Account Managers with improving the quality of customer profile data to track and report on key performance indicators.
• Research energy and environmental policies and regulations as requested.

• Strong personal commitment to the mission, vision, goals, and values of DCSEU.
• Demonstrated skills in leadership, communication, critical thinking/problem-solving, and teamwork.
• Pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, science/engineering, or other fields related to energy and environmental sustainability desired.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software on PC platform.
