The Talent Acquisition Partner is a key member of our People and Culture team (P&C HR) and will work to build and support VEIC’s full life cycle talent acquisition strategy. They will plan, manage, execute, and coordinate the full life cycle of talent acquisition, and build strong partnerships with VEIC hiring managers, leaders, and staff. The Talent Acquisition Partner will work to both assess and strengthen VEIC’s systems and processes to support both current and future needs, all while contributing to an inclusive, mission-driven, creative, innovative, and inspiring work environment.

• Deliver an exceptional candidate experience which results in a distinctive competitive advantage for VEIC.
• Manage and execute full life cycle recruitment processes – this includes posting jobs, sourcing passive candidates, engaging applicants, screening qualified candidates, facilitating candidate assessments, prepping candidates for interviews, interviewing, facilitating debriefs, managing offer negotiations, references, offers, and closing selected candidates for all positions, full, part-time, or temporary. Partner with Hiring Managers to develop sound sourcing, and inclusive recruitment strategies.
• Collaborate with marketing, HRBPs, P&C team, and business leaders to enrich the employer brand identity.

• Manage the company’s profiles on Glassdoor, LinkedIn, and other talent-related websites
• Build awareness and promote recruiting efforts through social media channels in partnership with marketing team.
• Work with marketing to develop advertisement materials, such as flyers, digital media, and promotional products.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with external agencies, colleges, vendors, associations, and other bodies who might route talent to the organization or aid in TA processes.

• Develop and cultivate strong relationships with business leaders at all levels of the organization, hiring managers and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to fully understand VEIC’s business needs and objectives to develop candidate profiles that match overall requirements and success factors for short and long-term talent needs of the business.
• Research, develop, and implement assessment tools for recruitment processes.
• Partner with our DEI Manager and DEI Committee, to support the development and implementation of DEI strategies to support fair and unbiased recruitment processes.
• Collaborate with hiring managers and HRBPs to develop job descriptions and job posting content that is thorough, compelling, and alluring to candidates and aligns with business strategy. Ensure there is consistency (removing redundancies) across VEIC.
• Provide training to Hiring Managers and interviewing stakeholders on talent acquisition practices, processes, and techniques.
• Complete hiring process within defined objectives. Collaborate on the definition of roles and responsibilities of the hiring team and develop consistent interviewing strategies and questions to support the range of positions VEIC is hiring for. Coach hiring managers as needed on the talent acquisition process (i.e., identifying key competencies, knowledge, skills, or abilities for open roles).
• Develop and implement creative and innovative sourcing & retention strategies, and techniques to build a pipeline of qualified candidates.
• Design and execute college/university recruitment strategy
• Manage VEIC-wide Internship program

• Collect and coordinate aggregate data for talent pool and conduct data analysis that drives action plans at the appropriate levels.
• Responsible for recruiting and hiring metrics (time to fill, time to hire, offer acceptance rate, etc); data management and integrity within an applicant tracking system (ICIMS) and other HR systems; and compliance of federal and local employment laws and with internal policies and procedures. Provide continuous improvement recommendations to processes based need and to drive efficiencies.
• Partner with HRBPs and leaders to develop and implement the talent management processes which will include career management, leadership development, succession planning, mobility, and staffing plans.
• Be the key point of contact for all job fairs and recruitment events.
• Help shape our overall direction and continuously raise the bar on the value/impact we deliver at VEIC. Identify patterns and root cause solutions that are best for our Talent Acquisition processes, team, and VEIC overall.
• Other projects and responsibilities as needed.

• Strong commitment to the mission, vision, goals, and values of VEIC.
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field and at least five years full life cycle talent acquisition experience or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills were acquired.
• Proven experience developing and managing candidate pipelines to support optimal candidate selection.
• Experience in utilizing (research / development) of candidate assessments to support hiring decisions.
• Strong interest in proactive talent sourcing and networking; proven sourcing skills
• Demonstrated experience in planning and executing college/university recruiting.
• Experience training hiring teams on proven techniques and processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate ideas and data both verbally and written in a persuasive and appropriate manner. Adept at storytelling and bringing others along change journeys and adopting new ways of thinking.
• Ability to build and maintain business relationships, and ability to work in a team environment.
• Proven project management and time management skills.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and database software including extensive Windows and Microsoft Office applications experience.
• Analytical Skills – ability to identify the root cause of problems/opportunities and determine possible solutions.
• Experience working in applicant tracking systems (ICIMS a plus).
