Overview

This position applies project management, facilitation, and organizational skills to support consulting projects. These projects are focused on delivering energy solutions to clients across the country.

Responsibilities

  • Works in close coordination with Manager, PMO team members in the prioritization of critical initiatives to continually provide value to Energy Services clients and associated stakeholders.
  • Develops, maintains, and works within a highly effective project management framework.
  • Provides contract management support to Energy Services projects to include: Establishment of appropriate communications and tracking systems based on project size, scope, team, budget and schedule; flags potential concerns/deviations from project plan and/or to the project lead; leads process for contract amendments, extensions, or other contract modifications; serve as a key contact with internal and external clients as appropriate.
  • Leads operational initiatives as assigned by the Manager, PMO which may include development and leadership of implementation plans, identification of necessary resources, and communicating results.
  • Successfully balances scope, timelines, dependencies, budgets, and overall implementation plans of initiatives.
  • Partners and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to understand project objectives and to define key deliverables.
  • Initiates and develops planning activities to include implementation plan, resource identification, risk management, and communication plans.
  • Applies project management and change management best practices and standards to all projects.

Qualifications

  • Strong personal commitment to the mission, vision, goals and values of VEIC.
  • Undergraduate degree or a similar combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills were acquired.
  • At least four years of experience managing and coordinating programs or projects, including leading project teams or a combination of experience from which comparable skills were acquired.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
  • General knowledge of standard office computer applications, including word processing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including ability to appropriately manage conflict.
  • Demonstrated ability to be organized, detail-oriented, accurate, and able to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with technical and non-technical managers and staff in a team effort.
