Overview

Efficiency Vermont is looking for three Program Managers to join our team! The areas of focus are listed below:

  • Program Manager 1 - Residential programs
    • Contract management
    • Support role across wide range of energy efficiency programs
    • Administrative systems management
  • Program Manager 2 - Commercial and Industrial Technologies
    • Energy efficiency programs focused on technologies in commercial and industrial facilities
    • Facilitate team meetings with Efficiency Vermont engineers and technical sales team 
    • Budget and resource management
  • Program Manager 2 - Municipal, Universities, Schools, and Hospitals (MUSH) Markets
    • Energy efficiency programs focused on schools, universities, hospitals, federal buildings, and institutions
    • Facilitate team meetings w/external facilities managers and municipal stakeholders as well as internal teams
    • Budget and resource management

Responsibilities

  • Assists Portfolio Manager to define the staff and budget resource requirements, operational expectations, and internal reporting requirements needed to achieve annual goals.
  • Supports the management of the budget resources and ensures consistent service delivery.
  • Continuously monitors progress regarding initiative goals, budgets and cost-effectiveness making program tactical changes as needed.
  • Ensures operational efficiency, performance quality, and drives Best Known Practices.
  • Delivers clear and transparent program messaging for both external and internal customers.
  • Addresses customer service complaints and feedback. Seeks solutions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Provides operational support to multiple market programs.
  • Actively mentored by senior program managers to continue skill development.
  • Provides clear and effective communication with all customers including team members, stakeholders, cross-functional groups, etc.
  • Provides support to the activities of VEIC as necessary to accomplish organizational goals and objectives.

Qualifications

  • Program Manager 1
    • Strong personal commitment to the mission, vision, goals and values of VEIC.
    • Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in a professional work environment, or a similar combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired.
    • Project management skills
    • Experience supporting a large team with competing priorities
  • Program Manager 2
    • Strong personal commitment to the mission, vision, goals and values of VEIC.
    • Bachelor’s degree or a similar combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired.
    • Three years of experience in operations or program management including tactical decision-making, influential leadership, facilitation, resource management, budget management, communications, and the ability to develop and attain goals.
    • Proven ability to develop strong working relationships, collaborate with internal staff, customers, and trade allies.
    • Familiarity with energy efficient technologies and market knowledge is helpful in this role
    • Budget management experience
