  • Overview

    The Manager, Total Rewards will lead the overall design and management of the benefit, rewards and recognition, and compensation programs across the organization. In addition, they will also be responsible for managing HR systems, as well as for leading our HR analytics efforts.  This strategic position is responsible for designing, planning, implementing and communicating a comprehensive total rewards program for the organization that will attract, reward, motivate and retain talent. This key role will manage a variety of benefit and compensation related activities including the total reward philosophy across the organization to ensure that the programs remain competitive and conform to current compensation strategy. This role will engage with key leadership positions to ensure that all programs support business initiatives and cultivate a diverse, talented, and engaged workforce.

    • Ensures the success of our compensation and benefit programs through analysis and insights of offerings, employees, and market trends.
    • Lead the development and continual advancement of a cost-effective health, welfare and wellness plan design that is competitive with the marketplace and ensures the right mix and offerings are available.
    • Ensures that compensation programs are aligned with the overall business goals and objectives of the company. In doing so, directly manages the design, implementation and administration of compensation programs including job evaluation, salary structure development and administration, and recognition programs.
    • Demonstrated experience coaching and communicating a total rewards culture by partnering closely with stakeholders and key business leaders.
    • Act as champion and change agent by anticipating HR-related needs and delivering value-added services for the benefit of employees.
    • Partner with Finance during the budgeting process and throughout the year regarding benefits costs and plans to mitigate any potential financial issues.
    • Evaluate, level, and determine the market value for new and existing jobs.
    • Collaborate with and provide a consultative approach to relevant staff to develop and execute compensation solutions to meet the needs of daily operations and unique business situations.
    • Conduct ad hoc compensation analyses and projects as well as compensation benchmark assessments; actively seek market intelligence and industry-specific data to inform appropriate solutions for the organization.
    • Design, implement and administer annual compensation process.
    • Manages HR systems maintenance and reporting, including identifying and implementing opportunities to utilize systems to more effectively and efficiently track data and share information.
    • Coordinate with Finance, Information Technology and other key stakeholders to ensure HR systems are aligned with and integrated with other organizational systems.
    • Partner with HR leadership to bring forward new HR analytics reflective of industry trends, bringing light to new meaningful ways to represent HR data.
    • Partner, collaborate and knowledge share effectively with HR team and senior leadership team as needed.


    • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred and at least eight years human resources experience, including two years supervisory experience or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills were acquired
    • Prefer those with background and experience growing, developing and building a total rewards culture
    • Integrity in business, excellent communication skills and the ability to influence decision makers and inspire team members
    • Strong knowledge of HR systems, practices and regulations
    • Excellent analysis skills and ability to identify trends from data
    • Demonstrated ability to be organized, detail-oriented, accurate, and able to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities
    • Able to effectively assess a situation and identify creative and appropriate solutions, balancing group needs, HR best practices and fundamentals, organizational mission, goals and values
    • Superior proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office applications, as well as deep experience with HR systems
    • Able to work independently with minimal supervision, and collaboratively as part of a team
